In July 30th, it was found that Japan Skating Federation has a plans to establish the players association from next season. In the board of directors in this day, it was proposed by President Seiko Hashimoto and was approved. That aim is to absorb actively the opinion from the player side and confer with them. President Hashimoto explained it saying, "Though the players association is in the professional sports usually, it is no relation in the present age whether it is the amateur or the professional. It was my long-cherished desire, to establish the players association".

As for the detail, it considers in this one year, but as for the frame work, that target is the players who are the class of the representative in three category of the figure skating, the speed skating and the short track.
The representatives who were elected in each category take charge of the role of chairperson and vice-chairperson. There is also a plan that they participates to the board of directors as an observer and tells it to the federation, while summarizing the opinion of the players.

The choice of the chairperson is from now on. The person concerned to the federation said, "Okazaki of the speed skating is suitable, but we might leave everything too much to her". President Hashimoto is thinking that the player of the figure skating is suitable because they have the force of circumstance now. So, Daisuke Takahashi may be suitable". Mao Asada is too young now as 19 years old now, but may become the likelier candidate in near future because she is charismatic.

In the professional sport, aiming at the wage struggle and the status improvement, there is history which the players self established an union organization. This time, it is the exceptional form by which the federation establishes the players association, but the player and the federation is going to attempt together to enrich an environment aspect and a guide aspect. President Hashimoto put her hope on the reform, saying "With expressing the opinion, the player, too, must fulfill the responsibility and it leads to the abilities improvement, too".
